Our client a Boutique Audit Firm based in Gozo, which offers various services including Assurance Services, Accounting, Advisory, and Taxation Compliance Services, is currently looking to recruit an experienced Client Accountant.

This is a dynamic role that requires an energetic individual who is motivated, the chosen candidate will be expected to carry out specific accounting tasks.

Responsibilities:

·        Completing the management accounts of one’s portfolio of clients.

·        Preparation and submission of VAT Returns for this portfolio of clients.

·        Ensure that all the tasks within the assigned portfolio of clients are completed in accordance with statutory.

·        Requirements.

·        Liaising with Auditors, Tax and VAT Departments and MFSA, necessary and as directed by the Head of Department.

·        Liaising with internal departments to obtain information and supporting documentation to allow for the timely preparation of financial statements and statutory returns.

·        Involvement in client meetings in relation to own portfolio.

·        Any other accounting-related duties as may be required from time to time.

Requirements:

·        Preferably fully certified or on the final stages of an ACCA qualification or with significant accounting experience.

·        Minimum 3 years experience in Accounting, with a minimum of 1 year in client accounting.

·        Be flexible and able to work independently yet also be an effective team player.

·        Approaches work in a methodical and organized manner, ensuring tasks are completed on time.

·        Be proactive in fulfilling his / her duties.

·        High standards of work ethics and commitment; clear communication at all levels.

·        Be a client-oriented and loyal personality with a friendly character.

·        Previous experience working in a similar role will be considered an asset.
