Job Description

An exciting new gaming company based in Málaga, Spain have a great job opportunity for a technical leader to take senior responsibility within their growing business. Your key job responsibilities as the Head of Technology in Málaga, Spain will include:

  • Ownership of leading the development, delivery, protection and optimisation of in-house and external technology services
  • Ensure that technology platforms, management and strategy are aligned with current and future business requirements, as well as budgets and KPIs, and that technology operations are carried out smoothly and effectively
  • Responsible for their games infrastructure management, including setting up hosting and deployment of games application
  • Ownership of maintaining servers and load balancers, including installation of latest security patches
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with jurisdictional requirements for replication of data to relevant territories
  • You will provide support and ensure the games application has high availability, performance and data endurance

Requirements for this Head of Technology job in Málaga, Spain:

  • Must be an EU/UK citizen
  • Demonstrable experience and evidence of success in an information management role with multiple stakeholder groups, including ability to build trust
  • Understanding of data security and other compliance responsibilities
  • Experience with commissioning services from third parties and managing relationships with suppliers and contractors
  • Highly motivated with the ability to manage and direct self (and potentially small team) to consistently meet challenging targets within a fast-moving industry and a dynamic organisation
  • Excellent team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills, as well as ability to work independently and collaboratively across diverse teams
  • Analytical skills to solve problems and analyse data affecting technology requirements
  • Agile and proactive approach to challenges and opportunities
  • Relevant degree, e.g. B.Sc. in programming, computer science, computer engineering, or related field
  • Relevant industry qualification and evidence of continuous professional development in an IT role
