One of our clients, an international investment firm in Malta, focused on early-stage investments with a portfolio of clients in the iGaming, Advertising Technology, Financial Trading, and Educational Technology verticals are looking for a Venture Capital Associate to join their team!
Responsibilities:
Manage and pre-select inflow of investment opportunities for partners
Prepare and participate in investment meetings with founders of start-up companies
Analysis of investment opportunities including initial deal due diligence
Preparation of deal memos based on standardized templates
Modelling of business cases in Excel for incubation projects
Commercial screening of legal agreements of portfolio companies in coordination with their In-house lawyers
Preparation of performance overviews of portfolio companies for the partners
Reporting directly to the partners of the company
Requirements:
Fluent English language skills
Knowledge of German will be considered an asset but not a requirement
2+ years’ work experience focused on venture capital, M&A or corporate development
Bachelor’s degree with specialisation in finance, accounting or economics
Profound knowledge of deal analysis and financial modelling (knowledge of company valuation as a plus)
Strong MS Office skills particularly Excel and Powerpoint
Strong communication skills (Writing, Verbal and Presentations)
