The DevOps Engineer will be reporting to the Head of ICT Security who in turn reports to the Chief Executive Officer. This position is very exciting within the company, as it will be the first on-site engineering role, with all the benefits and challenges one may expect. On one hand, this is an excellent career opportunity as this position will grow with the company and just selected few engineers have a chance to lay down a brand-new IT structure for a whole organization; on the other hand, it is really challenging, the person has to overcome every problem autonomously, with minimal supervision and little room for errors. Responsibilities:
As a DevOps Engineer (m/f/d), you will install and maintain the server architecture and suggest structural changes.
Moreover, you will also handle the deployment of the new software versions and making the best effort to keep the IT system secure.
In addition, you have permission control of software and services such as bitbucket, JIRA, cloud services and system backups (software, database, logs).
Furthermore, you will conduct systems tests for security, performance, and availability and also cooperate / supervise the application developers.
Another part of this role involves maintaining the system documentation and implementing or supervising the implementation of CI/CD pipelines.
Last but not least, you will be responsible for other adhoc tasks assigned from time to time.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, IT or a related technical discipline
At least three years’ work experience as DevOps engineer or two years’ experience with cloud services
Familiar with Linux systems, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or Git/Bitbucket
Working with any other cloud service provider considered an asset
An enthusiastic and committed approach with a track record of building strong, trusted base relationships with the clients, colleagues and stakeholders at all levels
Possess a strong work ethic and a team player mentality
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal in English
