Your key job responsibilities as the Digital Account Director in Johannesburg will include:

  • Maintain and nurture client relationships with designated client accounts
  • Develop new business from existing clients
  • Manage key account relationships by understanding their needs and providing solutions to key question
  • Design & deliver high quality research to address client needs
  • Define proposal structure; ensure the proposal meets client research objectives in the most effective way
  • Supervise projects within dedicated accounts, including project management, quality, job profitability, costs
  • Responsible for providing best costs and maximizing profitability
  • Follow the project communication, between the delivery team and the clients
  • Provide guidance on analysis techniques and “finding the story”. Ensure strategic content of conclusions and recommendations, always adding value to research results
  • Deliver the story and the key understanding of the story for the clients
  • Deliver the final presentation / reports / deliverables for projects to clients, lead face-to-face presentations
  • Manage client and internal stakeholders expectations
  • Manage team motivation and morale. Coach and support team members

Requirements for this Digital Account Director job in Johannesburg:

  • Matric qualification essential
  • Marketing or communications degree preferable
  • 5+ years’ experience in an agency environment essential
  • Real passion for digital essential
  • Proven track experience in client management & business development
  • Experienced in line management and in developing team members through coaching and performance management
  • Broad understanding of all communication disciplines – BTL, ATL & TTL
  • Broad understanding of new technology and the application of it to the creative process
  • Ability to review campaign results, and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Excellent creative understanding and ability to judge creative
  • Digital knowledge a must
