Our client is looking to recruit a Corporate and Compliance Associate to join their growing team in Malta! This person will be fully responsible for managing the company's portfolio of iGaming, Fintech and Lead Generation clients. Reporting directly to the Head of Legal.
Drafting, revising, negotiating, and managing legal documentation including agreements, contracts and forms
Reviewing, managing and processing of all due diligence documentation and handling internal and external due diligence requirements
Assisting with all group corporate ventures such as incorporation, mergers, acquisitions, share transfers, licensing, etc.
Coordinating and liaising directly with Internal and external counter-parties, including the Malta Business registry, and other national and international governmental / regulatory authorities
Working directly with the group’s Head of Legal on specific projects and in strengthening the compliance and governance systems
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
A minimum of 1-year experience working in a similar role managing a portfolio of clients within the compliance or corporate department of a local top-tier law firm or company service provider
A University degree in law would be considered a strong asset
Working knowledge of key regulatory bodies such as the MBR, MFSA and the MGA
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Ability to work in a multi-cultural work environment and be commercially aware
Keen to develop skills through training, qualification and continuing professional development
Have a collaborative working style, being able to follow instructions carefully, as well as to work independently, without frequent supervision
