Our client’s strategy is to continue expanding its range of products and services offering, with particular focus in the B2B Commercial payments industry, brings to the market a set of financial and technical products that can be tailored to meet specific client needs and thus delivering the right solution to clients. Our client’s product suit is designed to facilitate and unlock value from the process of making payments, and is targeted to and used by Banks, Financial Institutions and Corporates.

 

Our client has an established framework for the successful implementation and delivery of products and solutions for clients.  The position of Senior Project Manager within this function plays a key role in this delivery framework. The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for managing the end-to-end project life cycle, from initial project scoping, through to build, delivery and acceptance of deliverables by clients, both internal and external.

This role requires a resilient and dynamic individual who understands the technical, business and commercial objectives of a project and who can plan, coordinate, and lead the activities necessary to successfully meet the project objectives.
 
Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
  • Developing project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders
  • Develop detailed project plans to track progress
  • Identify and manage project risks and dependencies to minimize impact on project
  • Determine resourcing requirements and allocation for successful project execution
  • Coordinate internal and third party resources for successful execution of projects
  • Measure and be on top of project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques, throughout project life-cycle
  • Report project progress to internal stakeholders and client
  • Manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs
  • Establish and manage relationship with the client stakeholders
  • Establish and manage relationships with project team and internal stakeholders

 
Requirements;

  • Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently
  • Ability work with project teams who are resourced through 3rd party contractors and reside in different locations
  • Excellent organisation to keep control and track of requirements and issues
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think out-of-the-box to find and propose solutions for problems encountered
  • Good knowledge of the technical aspects of software development that allows for good understanding of technical dependencies
  • In-depth knowledge of different project management methodologies (Agile/ Waterfall) and ability to identify and use the best methodology as necessitated by the project requirements
  • Strong attention to detail and is able anticipate and act upon potential issues before occurring
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • Employs a strong “can do” attitude in his/her approach to work
  • Highly motivated and dedicated towards the objectives of the organisation
  • Highly dependable and trustworthy individual who can build strong relationships based on trust
  • Outgoing and interested in working with people from different cultures
  • Able to travel aboard to meet clients and off-shore teams
  • Constantly seeks ways to learn and improve his/her skills
