HEAD OF ACCOUNTS
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Operating as the lead point of contact for the accounts team;
Building and maintaining strong, long-lasting customer relationships;
Professional development of the accounts team and managing CPE activities;
The reviewing of financial statements;
Ensuring that the accounts department is kept abreast of all updates and changes to technical standards as well as any legal changes that impact the department;
Quality control & assessment of work delivered by the accounts department;
Implementing policies and procedures as well as creating uniform standards and approach to delivering accounts & financial statements;
Handling a portfolio of clients and attending client meeting as & when required;
Developing new business with existing clients and new clients;
Identifying areas of improvement;
Assist with challenging client requests or issue escalations as needed.
Applicants are expected to:
Have previous work experience in a similar role;
Be fully qualified;
Have experience delivering client-focused solutions to customer needs;
Have proven ability to juggle multiple projects at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail;
Have the right soft skills in order to manage a team;
Be computer literate with an excellent knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications;
Be well organised, accurate and able to work under pressure;
Be able to communicate confidently and effectively in both Maltese and English;
Be able to work well as part of a team.
