Job Description

Lead Java Developer required to work with a global digital media and broadcasting company with an impressive portfolio of clients. Want to work in their fun and friendly offices in Malaga technology park (PTA) with great starting salary, career plan and amazing benefits?

You’ll have experience in enterprise-scale development and have a thorough understanding of object oriented design along with knowledge of good coding practices. This role supports Technical Leads and Architects in the development of both bespoke and product based platforms. You’ll have the ability to work independently, but also as part of a team to ensure the end product meets high-quality standards. If you’re a highly technical, proactive, hands-on Software Engineer with experience of the whole development lifecycle then we want to hear from you. Requirements;
• Extensive experience in developing J2EE applications with Java 1.8+ using technologies such as Spring Boot, Spring Batch, Spring admin, REST JAX-RS.
• Strong knowledge with Hibernate/JPA, migration tools (Liquibase/Flyway) and advanced SQL knowledge on RDBMS Oracle 12.2+
• Experience on integration projects using Mule 3.5+ using Message Broker (RabbitMQ)
• Exposure to AWS cloud stack, familiar with lambdas, EC2, CloudWatch, SNS and RDS Oracle
• Good understanding of web technologies, e.g. AJAX, HTML5/CSS. Desirable experience with AngularJs and TypeScript.
• Familiar with IDEs like Eclipse/Intellij and/or VisualCode.
• Keen on using testing frameworks like Junit, Mockito, Wiremock, Arquilian.
• Comfortable in Linux command line shell script and familiar with container technologies (Docker)
• Experience with Continuous Build approaches using tools such as GIT, Maven and Jenkins • Full lifecycle experience, be highly technical and hands-on
• Ideally familiar with TDD and with knowledge of Scrum and/or Agile development methods.
• Be committed to design, build and deployment excellence • Good understanding of OOP principles and knowledge of common design patterns. • Ability to produce clean, performant, reusable and maintainable code, along with unit and integration tests and documentation
• Good communication skills • Be able to pick up new technologies quickly • Ability to work within a team and have fun
• Fluent spoken and written English
