What is expected of you?
- Ensure a thorough and timely investigation of different cases, consistent with the organisation’s enforcement strategy and legal framework.
- Deliver enforcement strategies and responsibilities, in line with the regulatory functions to deliver effective risk-based regulation.
- Provide direction after examining records and documents related to the Enforcement function in the most resourceful manner.
- Effectively manage the function’s operational and capital expenditure budget.
- Develop internal procedures that are required for effective enforcement. Monitor the effectiveness of the Enforcement Team engagement, selection and assessment of cases, decision making and timeliness.
- Prepare and plan enforcement workloads for the team, whilst keeping in mind the set KPIs.
- Ensure compliance and effectiveness all throughout the investigations and can develop the necessary disciplinary measures against non-compliant practices.
- To attend general management functions, meetings and participate in the recruitment process.
- To coordinate and liaise with other units within the organization and as well as with respective authorities.
- Provide clear and timely communications to firms or individuals on the requisite information being sought and updates on progress.
- Build a strong network of relationships with a diverse set of stakeholders and be aware of his or her representation of the organization in local and international forums related to enforcement.
- To handle any other duties as assigned by the Chief Executive Officer
What are you expected to bring?
- In-depth knowledge and relevant experience in law enforcement, especially that which supports the financial services markets
- Excellent communication skills and a proven record of engaging with multiple stakeholders
- Articulation and ability to develop strategies
- Decision-making skills and able to work under pressure.
- Candidates must possess a degree in Law (LL.D) and/or Accountancy/Banking & Finance or in another finance related background.
- A minimum of 8 years working experience in a senior or related area. Candidates who have no experience or academic qualifications but have 14 years of relevant experience may feel free to apply.
