Job Description

Are you a problem-solver? Do you enjoy assessing company procedures and recommending improvements? We are looking for a mature, reliable and energetic individual for a dynamic company in the transport sector in Malta.

What is expected of you?

  • Define procedures and processes of all the departments of the organisation to have a holistic view of the company
  • Conduct business re-engineering reviews on existing and new procedures with the aim of improving customer service, reducing cost and increasing efficiency
  • Strengthen internal controls and improve quality
  • Lead a continuous process of documentation and process definition
  • Liaise with the management team to discuss changes in existing procedures, draft new processes and prepare annual internal control audits
  • Follow up on processes issued and amend as required, including the management reviews and control of non-conformities
  • Deliver assigned projects within the stipulated timeframes, costs and agreed scope
  • Collect and analyse feedback obtained from meetings and create the necessary tools to communicate processes, providing research materials and other data points to formulate clear and well-organised procedures
  • Issue reports on internal compliance checks and audits including recommendations for improvement
  • Issue reports regularly on testing activities including goals, plans, schedules, analysis, conclusions and recommendations
  • Assimilate results into coherent presentation and reports
  • Communicate results to the management committee on a regular basis
  • Any other task assigned by the General Manager

What are you expected to bring?

  • Bachelors’ degree in either Business Management and Administration, Accounts, Engineering or similar qualification
  • 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Proven experience in process design, documentation and drafting of procedures
  • Previous experience in implementing and monitoring standards (ISO) will be considered an asset
  • An ability to work accurately and with attention to detail
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Excellent English communication skills
  • A high level of business literacy skills
  • Be analytical and numerical
  • An ability to work as part of a team as well as on own initiative
