The Payments and Fraud department is responsible for Tipico’s digital Payments, Fraud, AML operational flow (including KYC) & Responsible Gaming. The AML & KYC Specialist falls part of the AML & KYC Team who are responsible for all document queues and AML processes.  The department methodology focuses on knowledge sharing and career progression. 


Your pitch: 

The AML & KYC Specialist plays a key part in the KYC process which falls part of the AML requirements. AML & KYC Specialist is responsible to oversee all operational aspect of the AML & KYC Team. Additionally, AML & KYC Specialist will assist the AML & KYC Manager with all relevant projects and ad hoc tasks related to Team and operational compliance. The AML & KYC Specialist works very closely with the MLRO, Compliance, Product Team & all Customer Facing Departments.

Your daily playground:

  • Supervise day to day operational workflow management, to ensure work is delivered in line with specified SLAs and KPIs,
  • Update AML procedures on regular basis and create new procedures;
  • Assist with creation of project related documentation, maintaining and update of the AML projects roadmap, with invoices reconciliation; with contract reviews, negotiations and management of the external providers; and with monthly AML Reporting, all KPIs & KRIs;
  • Monitor the STR escalation procedure and regular STR monitoring, and approve external STR Reporting prior to submission; 
  • Monitor and enhance the Customer Risk Assessment Model and the Enhanced Due Diligence process;
  • Work closely with MLRO and Compliance to ensure training is delivered to different teams to introduce new AML/KYC requirements; 
  • Assist with any escalations and bugs reported in a timely manner and with performing the quality of the EDD tasks; 
  • Implement and suggest improvements to the existing flows and systems;
  • Acting as a subject matter expert for the business and point of reference to address AML/KYC related queries;
  • Have oversight of team quality results, training and team administration (schedule, leave, sick, overtime); develop and motivate team members;
  • Deal with complaints and escalations from team members and other departments; 
  • Mentor and oversee the team’s performance through the required number of 1:1;
  • Assist AML and KYC Manager in complex investigations assuring business risk is mitigated effectively and quickly or assuring high-quality information is fed upwards;
  • Support AML Manager with department recruitment and any other Ad Hoc tasks;
  • Maintaining the Tipico company culture and have fun.


Which skills should you bring to the pitch:

  • 4+ years of experience in Risk, AML and KYC processes within the iGaming;
  • People management experience considered a plus; 
  • Familiarity with AML regulations and guidelines (4th AML directive, MGA guidelines) is a must; 
  • Excellent written & oral German & English;
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.) and navigation of web applications;
  • JIRA and Confluence Knowledge will be considered an asset;
  • An analytical approach; ability to identify/prioritise initiatives with the highest impact;
  • Highly Organised, efficient and looking to succeed within a results-driven team; 
  • Excellent communication skills, able to articulate issues clearly and concisely;
  • Able to work under pressure and within a dynamic, multi-cultural environment; 
  • Able to multi-task and take initiative in all parts of the operation;
  • Able to maintain high levels of confidentiality and data security standards;
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work with a team;
