Job Description

My Client is an International award winning software house with a global client base and partners. They have a long-standing reputation for quality and innovation in this market.

They are now looking for a SQL Database Administrator to join their growing team.

What the role is about

  • Act as Operations database administrator
  • Assist in building data models and database oriented applications
  • Help with SQL (and database related) code reviews
  • Help analysing database performance issues and providing suggestions for improvements
  • Investigate new trends and technologies in database-related area
  • Revise database development best practices
  • Proactively training software developers for query tuning and efficient database develop
  • Define and own database performance monitoring in production environments
  • Help support team solving complex database issues (and in some cases take client DBA calls)
  • Help managed services team solving database issues in production environments
  • Mentor Software Developer Engineers of all levels

Must have:

English fluency is critical. You will work closely with our client’s London office, and (in)directly with customers who are typically concentrated in English-medium business environment 

  • You will have graduated with a related degree (e.g. software development , computer engineering) 
  • Have already acquired  2-3 years’ experience as a Data Base Expert- SQL Server Developer or Administrator
  • You’ll be comfortable working in a small, high-performance team, willing to share ideas, keen to gain product expertise.
  • Experience with Query optimization, Query tuning and high availability solutions
  • Solid knowledge in different areas: Database design, SSIS, DataWarehouse
  • Background experience in monitoring SQL server performance
  • Can do Code reviews with the developers
